Where is the Darien office?
The office is in the Crossroads of Darien plaza on 83rd Street, just east of Lemont Road and a few doors from Walgreens. From I-55, take the Lemont Road exit north and turn right on 83rd Street. From Route 83 or Cass Avenue, 83rd Street runs straight to the plaza. Parking is in the plaza lot in front of the building.
What happens at a consultation here?
A first consultation runs 45 to 60 minutes, one on one with Dr. El Djouzi. He reviews your history, your weight and health conditions, and what you want out of treatment, then tells you which option fits: a gastric sleeve, a gastric bypass, SADI-S, a revision of an earlier operation, or medication without surgery. We verify your insurance before you come in, at no cost, so you leave knowing what your plan requires and what it would cost you.
Medical weight loss patients also have a short scan and vitals visit here before their first dose adjustment, because the body composition scanner is in this office. Follow-ups can be in person or by video.
Where does surgery happen?
Dr. El Djouzi operates at University of Chicago AdventHealth Bolingbrook Hospital, 500 Remington Blvd, Bolingbrook, about fifteen minutes from this office by I-55 or Route 53. The hospital is MBSAQIP-accredited and a Blue Distinction Center for bariatric surgery, and nearly every operation is robotic. Which insurance does the Darien office accept?

Darien sits where DuPage, Cook and Will counties meet, so this office is the closer one for Woodridge, Downers Grove, Westmont, Burr Ridge, Willowbrook, Hinsdale, Lemont and the east side of Naperville. Drive times on a weekday morning: Woodridge 5 to 10 minutes, Naperville 15 to 25 minutes, Bolingbrook 10 to 20 minutes.
